Take a skillet and add water and lentils (daal) in it. Then add salt, ginger-garlic paste dry spices in it. Cover the lid for 1 hour.
When soft then mash in a way that water and daal are merged and make sure that the mixture is in liquid form.
For Tarka
Take a frying pan and add ghee/oil and onion in it. When the onion starts to soften than add chilies in it. When the onion is reddish brown than add curry leaves and finally add the whole mixture in the daal.
Your Chanay ki daal is ready. Serve hot with Boiled Rice.
Notes
The cook time is 10 minutes if you are making in pressure cooker.
